365 Days Photo project – Day 4 – Cruising around Lika

It’s a day four of my ambitious project (ambitious for me, at least) and it was a beautiful day to be outside too!

We were cruising around Croatian region Lika, which is famous for it’s untouched and beautiful landscapes. So I decided to take a photo of my friend’s old Land Rover Defender. Check out the pics to see how it turned out!

This time, setup was pretty simple as well. First, I had to under expose the scene by bringing aperture all the way down to f22 and then fill the car with three speedlites YN-560III on a single tripod, triggered by Yongnuo RF-603C wireless transmitter. All set on full power, to outpower the sun, which was in the background. I adjusted the contrast and exposure a bit in Lightroom, using brushes and gradient filters, and that’s pretty much it! You can see the difference between photo with the original settings (BTS) and retouched one.
