Meet apples! They are are good for ya! Apples are good for taking pics as well.

I got all messy shooting apples and water today. :) But it turned out pretty good in the end. Got myself a nice piece of black glossy perspex and arranged couple apples with leaves for today’s photo shoot. I used only one light, YN-560III at 1/1 power (105mm zoom) which was placed above and shot through medium sized scrim. I sprayed the fruit and leaves with some water and arranged some water on the perspex as well. And that’s it. All the tech details are below!

Camera and light settings:

  • Canon 600D @ 1/200 ISO 100
  • Canon EF 50mm f1.4 @ f8
  • One Yongnuo YN-560III Speedlite @ 1/1 power, 105mm zoom
  • Triggered by Yongnuo YN560-TX manual flash controller
