Juice Glass Product Photography – 365Project – Day 65

I did an interesting juice glass product photography today. It’s about natural juice concentrate that’s mixing with water.

The photo shoot for this juice glass product photography was pretty interesting to do as well. I used three lights, one shot through a softbox in the back, to give it a high key look and to light up the liquid at the same time. Other two flashes were positioned on the opposite sides, left and right. Right one was shot through softbox with scrim in front of it, to soften up the reflection a bit. Left light was bare flash, shot through scrim. Glass was positioned on a metal tin plate, to give a bit of a blurry reflection, but more importantly, to reflect the light coming through scrims from below, onto the glass sides. All the numbers are illustrated in the pic below!

Camera and light settings:

  • Canon 600D @ 1/200 ISO 100
  • Canon EF 50mm f1.4 @ f8
  • Three Yongnuo YN-560III Speedlites (details in the pic below)
  • Triggered by Yongnuo YN560-TX manual flash controller
