Just chillin’ – 365 Project – Day 46

I definitely got bored with all the backgrounds I have at home (and in Zagreb, for that matter), so I made my own.

So yes. It’s a composite. When I looked at the image on my camera’s display, I felt like something was missing. Then I browsed for some nice big city skyline pics, and found this one! After some Photoshop magic, I found myself sitting on the couch in some penthouse. Waiting. For something, or somebody.

I wanted to go for a dramatic lighting, so my main light was the one above. Other softbox was used only to give my face a bit of a fill light, but not too much. Other details are below!

Camera and light settings:

  • Canon 600D @ 1/200 ISO 100
  • Canon EF 50mm f1.4 @ f6.3
  • 2 x Yongnuo YN-560III flashes (details in the pic below)
  • Triggered by Yongnuo YN560-TX manual flash controller
